The ICP DAS stack light monitoring system is an off the shelf solution for remote monitoring of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) machines. The system detects the status of each stack light, and supports rapid configuration of a visual representation of the facility or site being monitored. The solution supports both real-time and historical dashboards and reports, and can be used to improve machine utilization and throughput.
The hardware used in this solution is the ICP DAS tSL-P4R1/tSL-PA4R1 stack light monitoring module which includes 4-channel DC/AC digital input and 1-channel relay output. The module detects the status of each color segment of the stack light (OFF, ON, or flashing) as well as any combination of multiple color segments.

This solution uses the ICP DAS ExoWise ( WISE-5231 series ) IIoT Edge Controller in conjunction with a tSL-P4R1/tSL-PA4R1 stack light monitoring module. Please read below for details on the tSL-Px4R1 modules.
The ExoWise IIoT Edge Controller can simultaneously support additional sensors via Modbus or its analog and digital I/O. It uses Ethernet or 3G/4G cellular for cloud connectivity.
