Position Summary

Are you getting started in your software engineering career? Are you pivoting towards software engineering from a previous career? Did you just finish a code bootcamp and want some real world experience? Do you have a basic foundation in either JavaScript (ReactJS, Redux, Vue.js, Node.js), Erlang or Elixir / Phoenix? Are you hungry to learn more?

We’re looking for hard-working problem solvers who love to create projects involving web technologies and embedded systems. At Exosite, we put real-world data online -> everything we do involves web apps, cloud computing, some embedded devices, or some data communications.

Your skills will be stretched and you will be asked to take ownership – you’ll learn a ton in a short amount of time. Position Responsibilities

• Contribute to Exosite’s products, including the ExoSense application and Murano IoT Platform
• Assist in the development, verification and testing of Exosite software
• Interacting and coding against MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Cassandra databases
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• A passion for software development and learning new technologies
• Ability to both propose a solution and implement your proposal
• Comfortable writing code in some programming language (common languages in use: Python, Javascript, Node.js, Elixir)
• Able to problem solve, real-time, with team members
• Interest in open source projects
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment, or willing to learn
• Attention to details: syntax, color, margins, case, consistency
• Familiarity with source control and process tools, or willing to learn
